A Nicaraguan cafetin and cocktail bar in a converted warehouse space in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The bar reflects the stark dissonance of the white cathedral set in Leon, we chose to bring the alter like quality to the vertical white shelving space behind the cocktail stations. Illuminated brass arched liquor wells set up the base of the bar and from the patrons point of view we added some playful organ keys into the bar top.
Wood slat walls behind our custom designed furniture take the shape of the iconic mountain-scape on the national flag. We designed the furniture and bar to be built in Nicaragua by the team Maderas who perfectly executed the design. This was a very fun design project. Completed 2018.
